One of the Best Parties Ever!

What I like to do is to photograph motorcycles, but what makes me money is doing all sorts of photography including corporate events. I spent a week last year in Denver Colorado doing this mostly boring corporate convention that was lots of classes and demonstrations... all of which I shot, but the final night they always put on this fabulous party; and this one topped them all. I have been doing this Corporation for 3 years, all over the USA, but this Denver party was the best.

What made it so great was a troupe of celebrity impersonators and were they ever good!

People filed into the dinner/party on a red carpet and Jerry Lewis had the microphone and he was running up and down the red carpet announcing arrivals with Marilyn and Liza and they were posing as I (paparazzi) shot photos of everyone as they came in. It was a hoot. Many of the guests were overwhelmed, but the actors were amazing.

In all, we had Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Monroe, The Blues Brothers, and Sammy Davis Jr.

What was really amazing is that there was no pre-recorded soundtrack when they performed inside. All of these talented artists sang, danced and performed their own (spot on) performances of who they were impersonating. They were so talented and it made for an amazing party.

Kudos to you guys! Wish I could find you on the internet so I can give you the real credit you deserve.

Best corporate party ever, hands down.

My bathroom needs updating so I have decided to wallpaper the walls with classic pinup images from the famous and talented George Petty. George Petty (1894 – 1975) was an American pin-up artist. His pin-up art appeared primarily in Esquire and Fawcett Publications's True but was also in calendars marketed by Esquire, True and Ridgid Tool Company. Petty's Esquire gatefolds originated and popularized the magazine device of centerfold spreads. Reproductions of his work were widely rendered by military artists as nose art decorating warplanes during the Second World War, including the Memphis Belle, known as “Petty Girls”.

These images are amazing, and I have printed them all at about 10" on canvas and will be applying them to the freshly painted walls with wallpaper paste and overcoating them with acrylic. I can't wait to see the final result...nor will my 12 year old son. ;)
